An HSS 6x6x1/4 structural steel tube extends down into a concrete footing and is anchored with four 1/2-inch diameter by 4-inch long welded stud anchors. A finish slab surrounds the upper portion of the footing. The top of the embedded tube features a closure plate welded with a 3/16-inch fillet weld. An HSS 4x4x1/4 column rests on top of the closure plate.
