The 90-degree hook requires a bend diameter of six bar diameters for #4 through #8 bars, eight bar diameters for #9 through #11 bars, and ten bar diameters for #14 and #18 bars, along with a twelve bar diameter extension. The 180-degree hook includes a four bar diameter tail extension with a minimum of two and one-half inches for standard hooks or three inches for seismic hooks.
