A circular reinforced concrete light pole pier features four vertical #7 or eight #5 bars with #3 horizontal ties spaced at twelve inches on center, along with three #3 ties within the top five inches of the base. The top of the concrete pier has a three-quarter-inch chamfer and provides one inch of minimum clearance under the light pole base plate, with exposed portions finished smooth and sloped down to the concrete. Anchor bolts and leveling nuts are installed per the manufacturer with anchor bolts tied to the rebars. An electrical conduit enters through the side of the pier, and the foundation bears on natural undisturbed soil or approved compacted fill.
