A beam-to-column web connection joins beams of differing depths framing into opposite sides of a column web. A shear tab connects the beam web to the column, with the shear tab thickness specified as the beam web thickness plus one-quarter inch. Top and bottom continuity plates are welded across the column web flange locations, with continuity plate sizes and weld sizes detailed per schedule and typical notes. Edge distances and bolt spacings follow standard American Institute of Steel Construction specifications, utilizing specific bolt counts and sizes as called out on the plan. A second row of bolts is provided as required by the structural plan layout.
