A hollow structural section beam is connected to a cross-laminated timber panel and timber beam assembly using a steel face plate and through bolts. Three-quarter-inch diameter through bolts secure the timber and beam through slotted holes in the face plate. A separate hollow structural section connection secures the steel beam per plan.
