Steel beams frame into a column web with varying beam depths using bolted shear tabs and top and bottom continuity plates. The shear tab thickness equals the beam web thickness plus one-quarter inch, with bolt sizes and counts sized per plan and edge distances and bolt spacings conforming to AISC specifications. Continuity plates are welded to the column flanges top and bottom unless omitted when the clearance is less than three inches. Additional rows of bolts are provided as required by structural engineering calculations.
