An HSS6x6 post supports an HSS5x5x5/16 outrigger fitted with a three-eighths-inch end plate, welded with three-sixteenths-inch fillet welds on three sides. An L3x3x3/8-by-three-inch angle, centered on the girt, connects to an HSS5x5 girt sized per plan. A three-eighths-inch by three-inch by zero-foot-six-inch plate is centered on the girt. Field conditions show a half-inch gap between structural elements.
