This structural detail shows a square concrete pier reinforced with eight number nine vertical bars having ninety-degree hooks into the footing. Four number four ties wrap the vertical reinforcement at three inches on center at the top and six inches on center for the balance of the pier. The pier section measures two feet four inches by two feet four inches with symmetrical centering lines. The top of the pier elevation is referenced per plan.
