An edge of a metal deck runs parallel to a wide-flange steel beam, featuring a 1-1/2 by 1-1/2 by 1/4 inch structural angle located below the deck web. A flat plate measuring 1/4 by 12 inches is spaced at 24 inches on center. Fillet welds sized at 3/16 inch are specified at two locations every 6 inches. At concrete fill locations, a 16 gauge edge form is required around the opening.
