A steel beam and joist connect to a concrete tilt-up wall panel using embedded steel connection plates and anchor bolts. The wall panel incorporates a steel cap plate at the top and bears on a steel column sized per plan. A 1/2-inch by 6-inch by 1-foot-4-inch steel plate with three 3/4-inch diameter by 6-inch HSA anchors connects to the panel. A lower 1/2-inch by 10-inch by 1-foot-4-inch steel plate with three 3/4-inch diameter by 6-inch HSA anchors and two 1/2-inch diameter by 24-inch DBA anchors provides additional anchorage. A joist bearing angle measuring L5x5x3/8 by 0 feet 9 inches features two 1/2-inch stiffener plates and is welded with typical 5/16-inch fillet welds. A 1/4-inch fillet weld secures the embedded connection plate assembly.
