A structural steel beam frames into a built-up plate girder with stiffener and connection plates bolted to the web. Concrete over a metal floor deck bears continuously across the top of the steel framing members. Beam connections require stiffener plates and connection plates sized using the larger of criteria referenced on the drawings. Steel beams frame flush or offset into the girder web as detailed typical at beam connections.
