Concrete masonry unit wall segments terminate at a vertical control joint located per architectural drawings and note four. Vertical reinforcing bars are placed on each side of the control joint according to the CMU non-load bearing wall reinforcement schedule, omitting horizontal reinforcement across the joint to allow independent movement.
