A wide flange steel beam connects to a concrete embed plate using a welded tab plate and bolts fitted into horizontal short slotted holes. The embed plate is anchored into the concrete with three-quarter-inch diameter by six-inch studs. The top of the concrete sits a minimum of two and a half inches above the top of the wide flange member where indicated. The tab plate and connection details are sized per drawing 2/S5.01.
