A single-ply roofing membrane continues up and along the parapet wall and under the metal cap, typically anchored over a grid tilt-up concrete monolithic panel. A fire-retardant treated wood nailer is secured to the concrete panel to receive a painted sheet metal coping. Sealant is applied at the joints of the metal coping assembly to ensure weatherproofing against moisture infiltration.
