Four-inch treated Hem-Fir No. 2 or better timber lagging spans between soldier piles in an excavation shoring wall, meeting at a 90-degree corner with boards staggered in each direction. The corner is reinforced with an L4 x 4 x 1/4 inch structural steel angle secured with three 20d nails per board.
