A steel joist supports a metal roof deck adjacent to a concrete tilt-up wall panel. An angle brace sized per plan connects the steel framing to the concrete tilt-up panel, requiring a minimum of four braces per panel. The steel joist bears near the wall with a maximum one-inch clearance. A three-sided three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld secures the connection where indicated. If an angle brace is located at an embed required by detail nine on sheet S501, an additional embed is not required.
