A steel connection occurs at a hollow structural section column intersecting with a horizontal beam and an inclined brace. A gusset plate connects the diagonal brace member, with matching weld details and plate notches provided as required. Internal stiffener plates align vertically with the hollow structural section members above and below the beam intersection. Fillet welds are specified on three sides for the column and beam framing junctions. Incoming framing is omitted from the main view for clarity.
