A canopy support wide flange beam connects to an HSS post sized per plan with a one-quarter-inch plate welded across the beam width. Hollow structural section beams run on each side of the post as sized per plan, maintaining a six-inch minimum clearance. Full-height stiffener plates are provided on each side of the beam web. Fillet welds of one-quarter-inch size are specified on three sides where indicated.
