This structural connection detail features a 1/2-inch by 10-inch by 1-foot 10-inch embedded steel plate anchored with seven equally spaced number 6 reinforcing bars measuring 10 feet long, welded to conform to ASTM A706. A matching 1/2-inch by 8-inch by 1-foot 8-inch plate connects to the assembly with 1/4-inch fillet welds on three sides. Tie plates measuring 1/2-inch by 5-inch by 8-inch and 5/16-inch by 4-inch by 8-inch are attached with 1/4-inch and 5/16-inch fillet welds. Three 3/8-inch stiffener plates provide additional support to the connection assembly.
