Cross-laminated timber panel bearing on a steel angle is fastened using one-quarter-inch-diameter by three-and-one-half-inch self-drilling screws spaced at sixteen inches on center typically. The screws pass through zero-point-three-zero-five-inch-diameter holes in the angle and are installed snug tight before being loosened one-eighth of an inch maximum to accommodate movement.
