Wide-flange beams are connected to the sides of a hollow structural section column using bolted shear plates. A bearing plate is positioned at the top of the hollow structural section column to support the roof deck assembly. The roof deck attachment and sizing are determined by the project schedule. The beam connections are sized per the typical connection schedule, and a stabilizer plate is installed within the hollow structural section column as specified in the typical detail.
