This assembly features a hollow structural section 6x6x5/8 strut that braces a tilt-up concrete panel. The strut connects to the panel via a 1 1/2 inch thick embed plate, identified as EP-7, which is anchored into the concrete with eight number 8 deformed bar anchor studs, each 6 feet long. At the strut connection point, fourteen number 6 deformed bar anchors, each 3 feet long, are welded to the embedded channel. A continuous angle is provided per framing details at the panel interface, and a 3/4 inch fillet weld is specified for the connection. The strut must be coordinated with the joist webs.
