An eight-inch concrete slab on grade bears against the upper portion of an offset concrete foundation wall, tied with number four dowels measuring three feet six inches long at eighteen inches on center. The vertical concrete wall transitions between two differing slab elevations and rests upon a cast-in-place concrete footing sized per plan and schedule. Reinforcing bars tie the foundation wall into the continuous footing below and extend into the upper slab level.
