A top braced frame connection occurs at a hollow structural section column framing into a beam. The assembly incorporates a brace member intersecting at a work point with connection plates welded to the structural framing. Fillet welds of five-sixteenths and one-quarter inch are specified at the structural intersections. A quarter-inch stiffener plate is provided where no perpendicular beam occurs. Additional connection requirements are referenced to coordinate sheets.
