Typical non-frame column base plate connections anchored to a concrete footing. The steel column sits atop a base plate of thickness per schedule, welded at the flanges with five-sixteenths inch fillet welds and featuring a three-inch diameter grout hole. The assembly includes anchor bolts sized per schedule, detailed with double nuts and standard washers, and set with one and three-quarters inch minimum edge distances. Leveling is achieved using either a leveling nut or shim stacks, with one-half nuts permitted, resting upon a one and one-half inch grout pad above the top of the footing. Oversize anchor bolt holes are provided with required plate washers per AISC-360 Table 14-2.
