A Grade 50 steel base plate measuring 1/2 inch by 3 inches by 1 foot 11 inches bears on a layer of structural grout. The grout sits atop a lower embed plate which is anchored into concrete by vertical rebar welded with a complete joint penetration weld. A vertical plate is welded to the base plate and embed plate using a three-eighths inch fillet weld with a field weld indicator.
