A pre-finished hatch door railing system with a gate is anchored directly to a prefabricated insulated single-door roof hatch. The assembly rests upon an eight-inch minimum insulated metal roof curb supported by structural framing. The roof structure incorporates a one-eighth-inch steel special deep frame with two inches of cellular glass insulation adhered to the frame.
