Additional number 3 bars measuring four feet in length are placed on all sides of the opening. Reinforcing shown is for each face of the wall or slab when thickness is greater than six inches. For walls or slabs six inches or less in thickness, reinforcing is placed at the center line. Reinforcement is spread to clear the opening and welded wire fabric is cut as required.
