A hollow structural section column aligns with the center line of a concrete floor slab and terminates at an embedded steel plate connection. Six number five reinforcing bars at three inches on center are anchored into the concrete slab and centered on the embed plate connection. The assembly is detailed for attachment of a cable barrier system at the edge of the slab.
