Galvanized steel grating bears adjacent to a mechanical unit outline supported by an 8 inch by 3/4 inch continuous plate welded to a structural steel beam. A one-half inch plate is spaced at one foot on center as a stiffener, secured with one-quarter inch fillet welds. A complete joint penetration weld connects the top plate components. All steel elements are specified as galvanized.
