A profiled metal deck bears across a steel beam joist girder with a twelve-gauge metal closure piece supplied by the metal deck manufacturer between joists. The deck is secured with one-half-inch diameter puddle welds at twelve inches on center maximum. A continuous or spaced fillet weld connects the supporting structural elements with sizes indicated by standard weld symbols. Dimensional clearances and variable dimensions are coordinated with architectural drawings.
