A structural tee or WT shape is provided where indicated on plan with a minimum web thickness of 1/4 inch, matching the depth of the member. One-quarter inch thick stiffener plates are welded to each side at 48 inches on center on both sides. A three-sixteenths inch fillet weld is applied to three sides typically. The assembly includes a quarter-inch fillet weld spaced at 3 to 12 inches typically, and 6 inches at the ends.
