A 7/8-inch A36 steel rod is bent as shown and mounted at 36 inches above finished floor on an HSS8x6x1/2 hollow structural section column located in a wall. The bent rod features 4-inch clearances and is secured with a 3/8-inch weld. The tube-to-slab connection is detailed separately per sheet 15/S5.03.
