The dock leveler pit perimeter is framed with galvanized L5x3x5/16 inch angles anchored by 1/2 inch diameter by 6 inch headed studs at 12 inches on center. The interior pit edge utilizes an L4x4x5/16 inch angle with 1/2 inch diameter by 4 1/2 inch headed studs at 24 inches on center, while the base of the pit wall incorporates an L4x4x3/8 inch angle with 1/2 inch diameter by 6 inch headed studs at 12 inches on center. The vertical pit face is left unwelded to the angle. The slab-on-grade transition utilizes diamond dowels for load transfer, supplemented by two number 4 reinforcing bars at 3 feet 0 inches long. All dock leveler dimensions and coordination must be verified with the equipment manufacturer.
