A precast or cast-in-place concrete pier foundation supports a lightpole up to eighteen feet in height with anchor bolts sized per the manufacturer. The top of the concrete pier is finished with a three-quarter-inch chamfer and up to two inches of non-shrink grout beneath the base plate. Vertical reinforcing consists of six number five bars tied with number three ties at six inches on center, supplemented by three ties closely spaced at the top five inches. The foundation pier has a diameter of two feet with a minimum depth of five feet six inches and requires three inches of minimum concrete cover.
