A steel framing connection features a beam supported by a column member with a flange width less than or equal to nine and one-half inches. Three-quarter inch thick top and bottom stiffener plates weld to the supporting member face at high load conditions as indicated on plan or details. Plate sizes and bolting follow standard sheet references 6/S-503 or 12/S-503.
