Multistory concrete floor slabs and beams are supported by vertical shores and reshores across multiple stacked levels. Freshly placed concrete at the top slab requires one hundred percent shoring. Lower levels incorporate staged removal schedules specifying five days minimum with fifty percent shoring, fourteen days minimum with one hundred percent shoring, twenty-one days minimum with fifty percent shoring, and twenty-eight days minimum with fifty percent shoring. Previously placed concrete levels support the shore vertical elements. All shoring and reshoring operations must comply with ACI standard recommended practice for concrete formwork ACI 347, and shores shall not be removed if concrete strength does not meet the specified strength at twenty-eight days.
