A skewed timber beam connects to a glulam girder using grade fifty face and side plates fastened with screws and secured by complete joint penetration welds. The skewed beam bears on a three-quarter-inch grade fifty bearing plate at its base. A top plate spans the full supporting beam width, anchored into the timber with six structural wood screws. Additional SDWS22300DB structural screws fasten the side plates through the member. The floor assembly above consists of cross-laminated timber panels with a concrete topping sized per plan.
