An angle member terminates at a structural steel column or beam web with a 3/8-inch by 8-inch by 0-foot-8-inch connection plate. A 1/2-inch stiffener plate welded with a quarter-inch fillet weld reinforces the web assembly. A maximum 3-inch dimension is maintained at the work point. Fillet welds of quarter-inch and five-sixteenths sizes secure the connection components on top and bottom.
