Composite steel deck bearing conditions feature partial closure strips over raised ribs and continuous closer strips over supporting steel beams. Shear studs align with the center of the low flute only. Reinforcing bars measuring number four by four feet long are spaced at twenty-four inches on center and placed one inch clear from the top of the concrete. Minimum deck bearing complies with general notes for spans both less than and greater than six inches.
