Cold-formed steel studs are laterally braced using a continuous 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 12-gauge channel fastened to each stud with one number 2 screw. A diagonal tieback wire is anchored to the channel assembly to provide lateral stability and resistance against out-of-plane wind loads.
