A new hole is core-drilled at each existing guardrail post embed location, with a diameter half an inch larger than the outside diameter of the existing pipe sleeve. A new galvanized schedule forty pipe sleeve, featuring a cap plate matching the depth of the slab, is inserted into the core-drilled hole after the surface of the pipe and hole are coated with epoxy. The guardrail post is then inserted into the sleeve and the assembly is filled with flowable non-shrink grout. Separate plan layouts show the post positioning for outside corner, typical location, and inside corner conditions.
