Two adjacent precast concrete erection pads are separated by a three-quarter-inch expansion joint with a total width of four feet across the assembly. Each pad features minimum three number five vertical reinforcing bars with horizontal ties as detailed in the schedule. The footing thickness and pad dimensions are sized per schedule with three inches of concrete clearance provided at the base. A stepped recess accommodates adjacent precast panel connections with variable thickness "T" per schedule.
