An offset supported beam connects to the web of a supporting girder using a five-eighths-inch shear plate welded per the non-frame beam connection schedule. Detail B incorporates a five-eighths-inch by four-inch plate with a five-sixteenths-inch fillet weld and a full-height stiffener on the supporting girder web. Detail A accommodates up to two additional fasteners in a second row as shown, with a plate thickness calculated per schedule plus one-sixteenth-inch. Both configurations maintain a half-inch clearance between the supported beam flange and the supporting girder web.
