A steel beam framing connection occurs at a window head with a concrete over metal deck floor system, sized per plan. Cold-formed metal framing studs measuring 6 inches by 18 gauge (600S162-43) are spaced at 16 inches on center with a 6-inch by 16-gauge (600T125-54) continuous track at the top of the window. A structural steel beam connects via a bolted framing angle to the supporting perpendicular steel beam or column assembly. The concrete over metal deck slab bears above with designated clearances and dimensions, including a 1-1/2 inch dimension and a sub-12 inch spacing constraint. Wall finishes and window interfaces are coordinated per architectural requirements.
