A vertical transition connects two concrete slabs at different elevations. Bent reinforcing bars extend continuously from the lower slab into the upper slab, anchored across the vertical offset typical of the transition zone. Dimensions indicate a five-inch horizontal offset at the lower step and a twelve-inch dimension at the upper step transition. Longitudinal reinforcing bars are spaced along the span of both concrete slabs.
