A four-and-a-half-inch concrete slab on metal deck bears over structural steel framing connected by a three-bolt structural steel plate measuring one-half inch by four inches by one foot in ASTM A572 Grade 50 steel. A cold-formed steel wall supports an exterior veneer above, with dry-pack grout filling the metal deck flutes below the veneer line. A closure piece is provided by the deck manufacturer at the wall interface, and a bent steel plate is attached at the floor edge. Typical weld access holes are detailed at the beam web connections.
