This structural detail shows a concrete slab edge supported by an edge beam sized per plan, utilizing a continuous edge form specified in the schedule above. The assembly incorporates two continuous number four reinforcing bars within the slab edge and requires additional number three bars at sixteen inches on center when welded wire fabric is replaced with fiber-meshed concrete. Field connections depend on the edge form gauge, using either three-quarter-inch diameter plug welds at twelve inches on center for fourteen and sixteen gauge forms, or a one-eighth-inch fillet weld at one to twelve inches for ten and twelve gauge forms. A minimum three-inch bearing dimension is maintained on the supporting steel beam flange.
