A 5/16-inch thick by 6-inch wide bent plate is centered at each knife plate and connected with a quarter-inch fillet weld. A half-inch diameter by 1-foot 6-inch welded deformed bar anchor is centered at the knife plate embedded within the concrete. Additional reinforcement is placed per plan with a 1 1/2-inch clearance. A knife plate per sheet M/S5.06 interfaces with a Kebony wood screen specified by the architect.
