This assembly features a gusset plate of thickness T welded to the underside of a beam. Two diagonal bracing members are bolted to the gusset plate. A three-eighths inch stiffener plate is provided on the near side and far side of the beam web, unless noted otherwise. A stiffener plate of thickness T is also provided between the gusset plate and the beam web, matching the beam width. The connection includes five-eighths inch fillet welds on both sides of the gusset plate. A one-half inch clearance is maintained between the bracing members and the beam flange.
